TEACHING
Sarah has been teaching students for several years and considers it one of the most important contributions she has made to her community. Having been given thorough support and encouragement throughout her own musical journey, Sarah believes it is important to not only teach her students but also to mentor them. As part of a holistic training, Sarah encourages each of her students to foster their self-confidence through a Growth Mindset practice.
While Sarah's technique is primarily based on classical, operatic performance, she has a soft place in her heart for jazz and musical theater. As she creates lesson plans tailored to each student's individual needs, goals, interests, and skill level, she consistently reminds her students that having a classical understanding of music and technique will serve them well in any genre of musical performance.
She is currently accepting music students of any age, and teaches voice students age 8 and up. Lessons can be anywhere from 30-60 minutes, weekly or biweekly, and rates are determined on a sliding scale. Sarah currently offers video conferencing lessons as well at a lower price point due to Covid-19 concerns. For further information, please fill out the email contact form at the bottom of this page with any questions.
